Description

Merino wool is the warm half of this sock and Coolmax is the cool half, and at 36% each they balance out into something you can wear well past the shoulder seasons. The wool handles odour and temperature; the Coolmax pulls sweat off the skin and pushes it out through the knit, which is what keeps a foot comfortable on a hot climb.

Mid-weight cushioning runs under the foot where a boot presses hardest, with impact support zones at the points that wear out first. Arch and ankle support hold the sock in place, an ankle flex zone stops the fabric gathering when you bend, and a double cuff keeps the top from rolling. Crew height clears the collar of a hiking boot, so nothing rubs on a long descent. In navy, knit in Canada.
