The Taxi Austin-01 is a women's mid-calf boot with a western feel, and the decorative stitching across the shaft is what gives it away. The nine-inch shaft sits below the knee and measures thirteen inches around, so it clears most calves comfortably and still looks neat under a pair of jeans.
A soft, cozy lining runs through the inside and a padded insole takes the edge off a long day of casual wear. The inside zipper means you are not pulling them on and off, which matters more than it sounds on a boot this height. A two-inch stacked heel adds a little lift.
