Full-grain leather is the top layer of the hide, grain and all, which is why it darkens and softens rather than flaking the way corrected leather does. The Heritage Essential is cut from it, so the bag you carry in five years will look better than the one that arrives.
The silhouette is deliberately plain: a clean rectangle, 10 inches across and 6.5 tall, with enough depth for a phone, a wallet, sunglasses and the small things that accumulate.
